Qiang Hu is an Assistant Researcher at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received his B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2013, and his Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2019. He was a Postdoc Researcher at ShanghaiTech University from 2019 to 2021. His research focuses on 2D/3D Video Compression and Processing, 3D Reconstruction and Generation, Visual Quality Assessment. Dr. Hu has published over 40 papers in prestigious journals and conferences, including IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications (JSAC), IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (T-PAMI), IEEE Transactions on Image Processing (T-IP), Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR), and Neural Information Processing Systems (NeurIPS). He organized the CVPR 2025 NTIRE XGC Challenge on video quality assessment and served as a guest editor for Future Internet. Dr. Hu’s contributions have been recognized with several honors, including the Shanghai “Super Postdoctoral” Incentive Program, the Outstanding Reviewer Award at CVPR 2025, the Top 5% Award at IEEE ICIP 2024, and the Best Paper Award from Broadcast and Television Network in 2024. He also received runner-up in the ICCV 2025 MIPI Challenge and the VQualA Challenge, and received First Prize in the MediaAIAC competition from the National Radio and Television Administration of China.
